On Saturday, June 11th, St. Andrew's held a Royal Tea Party, in joint celebration of HRM Elizabeth II's 90th birthday and of our own 60th anniversary as a parish.
The homemade scones were particular favourites, and those in attendance enjoyed the finger sandwiches, squares, cake and other desserts as well, of course, as the tea itself. We were then treated to a musical guest, Maya, who sang a beautiful version of, "Amazing Grace."
Churchwarden Alex thanked all who assisted with the event, especially organizer Lethel, noting that in many way it reminded him of the tea parties he enjoyed as a child back in Sri Lanka!
