Pentecost Sunday

Pentecost falls fifty days after Easter, and is the celebration of the coming of the Holy Spirit upon Jesus's first disciples fifty days after his resurrection.

One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit was the ability of people of all languages, races and nations to understand one another as the story of God's love thorugh Jesus Chrsit was shared. That makes Pentecost a particularly special day here at St. Andrew's, where we gather as people form all over the world for worship every week!

It will be made even more special this year by the celebration of Holy Baptism, when new Christiasn are welcomed into the worldwide family of people who follow Jesus.

If you're coming to worship with us for Pentecost this year, bring a flag to represent the place where you are from, and be prepared for readings and prayers in different languages.
