At Pentecost God gave the Holy Spirit to the disciples of Jesus, which gave them the ability to speak in many languages so that they could preach the good news of God's love in Jesus to everyone.
At St. Andrew's, we mark Pentecost by celebrating God's gift of diversity to us. This is a church with members from all over the world, and we enjoyed hearing the Pentecost story read in English, Arabic, French, Cantonese, Fanti, Swahili, Afrikaans, German, Spanish and Tamil.
