Alleluia! Christ is risen!
The Lord is risen indeed! Alleluia!

There are three services of worship as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead on this glorious feast day. You are welcome to join us at any of them!

The Great Vigil of Easter, Easter Eve 8:00 pm
This ancient ceremony begins outside the south doors of the church, where we light the new fire awaiting the resurrection of Christ. The fire is blessed, and transferred to a single candle which leads us into the darkened church. The light passes from person to person as we all hold vigil candles and listen to readings from the Bible telling us the history of God's saving work for all people. Then the lights are flung up, the bells sound out (don't forget to bring a bell from home!) and we sing "Glory to God!" We hear the story of Jesus's rising from the dead, we reaffirm our baptismal promises, and we celebrate the first eucharist of Easter.

Holy Communion with hymns, Easter Day 8:00 am
Our regular 8:00 am service is made special on Easter morning with the addition of hymns as we celebrate the victory of Christ over the powers of death.

Choral Eucharist, Easter Day 10:00 am
As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, we enjoy the special music in worshipping God and sharing in holy communion. There will be activities for the children as they worship with their families and an Easter egg hunt after the service.
